Conspire -- Travel Day

Today Willy and I drove from Baxter, MN to Elgin, IL and had a great time talking and getting to know one another. I'm so glad that Willy's with me, I can't wait for us to experience the conference for the first time together.

  • Some highlights from the drive to Illinois.
  • We only had to turn around about 4 times.
  • We saw about 20-30 dead animals along a 2 hour stretch of highway in Wisconsin, including raccoon, lots of deer, a couple of coyote, a turkey, and a couple that we couldn't recognize.
  • Had to pay a total of $3.80 in tolls after traveling only about 80 miles into Wisconsin. We'll need to refresh our toll money baggie before leaving the state.
  • Ate a late dinner at a new restaurant called "Rookies" that just opened up yesterday. Do you know what it means when a new restaurant opens up? There is a an over abundance of staff which means that you get good customer service, albeit they are still learning the systems.
